With Trae Young coming into the season healthy and receiving the number 1 pick in this years NBA draft this years hawks team can make some noise. Defensively you have Clint Cappella to hold down the pain and adding two defensive wings in Dyson Daniels and this years top draft pick Zaccharie Risacher from France the hawks look decent but I'm not sure it'll be enough to get them through the first round. They need Jalen Johnson to step up in a big way this year as well as a consistent performance from one of the best sixth men in the league in Bogdan Bogdanovic. Deandre Hunter and Onyeka Okongwu will need to really prove  that they can consistently be healthy and stay health to help this team make a playoff run. Deandre hunter shot 38% from the three point range while averaging 15 which is pretty good but he needs to be more efficient. Id look to see a greater 3 point percentage from his this season. Onyeka Okongwu will need to  step his free throw percentage as well as rebounding and blocking abilities. Im looking to see him average closer to 2 blocks per game while shooting 85% from the line. As a big in this league it is vital to b able to know down free throws. This can be a really good hawks team if the stay healthy and learn to play off of their strengths and lock it down on the defensive end.
