Toronto Raptors

What's missing?

The Toronto Raptors are slowly building a really skilled hard working hard core. With the supporting cast of Scottie Barnes, Grady Dick, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickly, and Ochai Agbaji the Raptors could be in striking distance of the playoffs in less than 2 years. Now let's talk about what they lack and what they need. Obviously number 1 for the young core to keep developing like Scottie Barnes who was averaging 19.9 points a game last year. Gradey Dick needs o make some improvements on the offensive end as well averaging more than 8.5 points a game last season. If I'm a raptors fan I would want his to be at around 15.0 per game this upcoming season as well as shooting better than 36.5% from three. These guys need to have more than that this year in order for the Raptors to really compete with other teams. What they lack is really any kind of experience. You could say Jakob Poeltl or Bruce Brown but those just aren't guys who have made a significant impact or won and NBA championship. They lack the leadership to make massive development's and yet this team started coming together towards the end of the season and really showed what things could look like if they develop the right way. Immanuel Quickly just signed a 5 year contract with the Raptors so they have their PG 1 for the next 5 years. As a backup for the Knicks Immanuel Quickly was electric bringing energy on both side of the floor. In order for this team to be successful Quickly needs to step it up on the offense end and average more than 18.0 points per game. The Raptors will be exciting they are just missing a few new pieces as well as veteran pieces to make a real push for the playoffs this season.
