Was last year's eastern inference finals run a fluke?
The Indiana Pacers run to the conference finals was impressive but was it because they were good or because the east was banged and bruised up? Coming into this season the pacers team looks the same with Halliburton and Siakam running the show with immense help on offense from guys like Myles Turner, Obi Toppin who has an impressive year, Tj McConnell, and Andrew Nembhard. On the defensive end you have guys like Bennedict Mathurin and Aaron Nesmith who are defensive menaces who control the wings and take on the hardest defensive assignments. The biggest question is since no moves were really made how do they stay atop in the eastern conference when big changes were made to the teams they are trying to compete against. to me it seems like everyone around them got better while they stayed the same. I still believe the Pacers will make a playoff run but I believe that the playoff run they had last year won't be the same be the same. If the pacers don't make a move they will be taking flights to Cancun at the end of the first round.
